Matters Needing Attention When Test Insertion Loss Of Fiber Optic Pigtail

In order to ensure that no impurities to affect the accuracy, it need to clean the end face with anhydrous alcohol before connecting. DB value of the master cord should be given, usually less than 0.02dB. The calibration value today should be compared with the calibration value of yesterday, the difference must be less than or equal to 0.02dB, all the calibration value must be less than or equal to 0.05dB, if the value do not meet the requirement, it need to check with the supervisor. During the test, after testing 5 pcs, it needs to check the dBm value normal or not before clearing. If there is problem, it should be solved in time. For non FC/PC type connector, FC-XX conversion adapter should be used. (XX- stands for connector will be tested). Connector of the MASTER Cable which connects to the light source must be FC/PC. Light source and optical power meter must use same wavelength. Direction of ceramic sleeve and direction of the adapter should be consistent. After finish test, remember to turn off the light source and the optical power meter, cover dust cap to connector and detector.
