102Gbps OLT Optical Line Terminal For GPON With 4 PON 8 GE And Two 10GE SFP+

Function of OLT Optical Line Terminal

The OLT has three main functions : Send Ethernet data to ONU with the broadcast way; Initiate and control the ranging process, and record distance information; Allocate bandwidth for ONU, means to control the start time and the size of the window of data transmission which is sent to the ONU.

OLT is a multi service provider platform that supports both IP services and traditional TDM services. Placed in the edge of the metropolitan area or community access network exit, convergence access services and transfer to the IP network.

in addition to provide business convergence, OLT is also a centralized network management platform, equipment management, security management and configuration management can be realized on OLT . It not only can monitor and manage devices and ports, but also can open service and monitor user status, it is also able to allocate bandwidth for different user according to their QoS/SLA requirements.
