CSM 100g E Glass Powder Emulsion Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat

Fiberglass chopped strand mat(referred to as csm) is glass fiber filament cut into a 50mm length, randomly but equally distributed on the mesh belt. Then spread power or emulsion binder by heating after curing bonding into chopped strand mat.

Non-woven fiberglass chopped strand mat is easily wet out by resin, easy-processed, good wet strength retention, excellent laminate, transpartent clear color.

This CSM is widely used hand lay-up FRP like various sheets and panels, boat hulls, bath tubs, cooling towers, vehicles, automobile, chemical, electrical industries etc.

Chopped strand mat is very economical and offers good strength. However, for greater strength
and a lower weight product biaxials and woven cloth fabrics are generally used.
All the chopped strand mats are compatible for use with polyester resins and vinyl ester resin.

Useful Tips For CSM

The individual glass fibers that make up chopped strand mat is held together by an adhesive binder(powder/emulsion) that is designed to be wet out polyester and vinyl ester resins.

How Much Resin Do I Need?

Fiber glass chopped strand mat requires approximately 1.5 to 2 times of mat weight in resin for complete saturation (For example: 1LB mat needs 1.5 to 2 LBS of resin). And most resins is approximate 9.5 LBS per gallon.
