8HS High Temperature Fiberglass High Silica Cloth For Fire Blanket
Unionfull's 0.7mm high silica cloth is is woven from high purity, high strength amorphous silica fibers. It is a very strong but also flexible fabric. It is a kind of inorganic fibre fabric with a lot of content of silica (more than 96% SiO2). The softening point of this silica fabric is close to 1300℃. It can withstand a temperature of 800 degree Celsius continuously. Most significantly, the instantaneous temperature of 1200 degree. It is an ideal high temperature fabric, it will not burn, rot, mildew or deteriorate and anti most chemical acids.
Weight of this fabric is 600g/m2. Thickness is 0.7mm. Count per cm is 18/13. Weave of this high silica cloth is 8HS satin weave. Satin weave is more stable than the plain weave and is easier to conform to curved surfaces typical in reinforced plastics. In this weave pattern eight harness satin, there is a seven-by-one interfacing where a filling yarn floats over seven warp yarns and under one. If you want 12 harness satin, it is high silica cloth 1200g 1.3mm.

High silica cloth is a kind of fiberglass fabric which has heat treatment, thicker, heavier and stronger features. It provides better durability light and far more resistance to heat impact from welding sparks. Non hairy and its surface treatment prevents irritation to be exposed skin common in other giberglass fabric and asbestos clothes. Reduce the overall impact temperature and prevent burn through. It is woven from fiberglass yarn(with high SiO2) contentwith specially surface treatment. It is a economical fabric which is suitable for continuous use at 1650°F (900°C), and can bear short term exposure up to 2200°F (1200°C). What's more, extra polyurethane coating/vermiculite coating/silicone/PVC coating will improve the fabrics unmatched abrasion resistance and tensile strength.
Capability of thermal insulation up to 550°C and can sustain even higher temperature sparks during welding and high temperature workshop. It provides better durability, when subjected to heat shock treatments, soft and flexible, which makes it a ideal materials for wrapping around uneven surfaces and equipments.
Commom application is used in boat fabrication/repairs, oil/gas, petrochemical/metal construction industries where heat insulation, insulation lining and extensive welding take place. Also an ideal fabric to conduction heat away from point of heat impact. Density facilities help heat flow, provide efficient heat conduction system away from sparks.
