Made from 100% polyvinylidene difluorides, hydrophobic PVDF Membranes are high temperature resistant with broad chemical compatibility that allows high flow rates in a wide range of gas sterilization applications. And because of its low protein binding characteristics, PVDF membrane filters are well-suited for filtration of small volume of protein solutions for HPLC analysis. The Hydrophobic PVDF Membrane Filter Rolls from us do not require the use of any wetting agents, therefore increase sample purity during sterilization or clarification process.
With similar characteristics to PTFE membrane, PVDF membrane is a more cost-effective option, for which it is often used as an alternative in situations where PTFE membranes are considered too expensive .
