Scope of application:
- Suitable for testing with a small flame igniting a floor covering material that is placed horizontally and exposed to an inclined thermal radiation field.
- Suitable for all kinds of flooring materials. Such as: textile carpets, cork, wood plastic flooring and floor spraying materials. The device may reflect the burning properties of the flooring material including the substrate used, backing material, underlay material, or flooring material
- Measure and describe the properties of floorings in response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions.
Standard:
ISO 9239-1:2002 :Reaction to fire tests for floorings- Part1: determination of the burning behaviour using a radiant heat source;
ASTM E648-19ae1: critical radiant flux of floor-covering systems using a radiant heat energy source.
