Suitable for continuous and uniform boosting or stepwise boosting, apply AC/or DC voltage to the sample until breakdown, measure the breakdown voltage value, and calculate the breakdown strength of the sample; Using a rapid voltage increase method, raise the voltage to the specified value and maintain the sample without breakdown for a certain period of time. The specified value at this time is the withstand voltage value of the sample.

Usage: Take out the discharge rod and straighten the telescopic rod, insert the other end of the grounding clip into the metal probe socket of the discharge rod, and then clamp the grounding clip onto the instrument grounding terminal A or B. Hold the insulated handle as far away as possible from the instrument casing, stand, slightly bend forward, open the glass door of the test box, and use the metal probe to contact the high-voltage transformer output equalization ball, sample electrode, and capacitor high-voltage end one by one. (If necessary, after the discharge is completed, use a multimeter in AC voltage range (AC20V range) to test if the voltage between the electrode and the human body is less than 36V, indicating that the residual voltage has been discharged completely.)
Attention: Before taking out the sample after each experiment, it is necessary to fully discharge it beforehand. During discharge, the contact dwell time at each discharge point should exceed 2 seconds.
Safety instructions:
1. The equipment needs to be equipped with a separate protective ground wire. Grounding the protective ground wire is mainly to reduce the strong electromagnetic interference generated by the sample breakdown on the surrounding area. It can also avoid losing control of the computer.
2. The circuit of this testing equipment is equipped with multiple protective measures, mainly including overcurrent protection, voltage loss protection, leakage protection, short circuit protection, DC test discharge alarm, etc.
3. Grounding requirements: A separate grounding is required, and the grounding should comply with national standards. The metal rod should be buried at least 1.5 meters underground.
4. The circuit of this testing equipment is equipped with multiple protective measures, mainly including overcurrent protection, voltage loss protection, leakage protection, short circuit protection, DC test discharge alarm, etc.
Product features
1. Independent installation software running on the WIN XP/WIN7/WIN8 system, with a user-friendly interface and simple operation
2. Experimental display curve, automatic data storage, automatic search.
3. multipurpose, can be used for accurate, reliable, and safe AC and DC testing.
4. Computer controlled experimental process, automatic judgment stop, automatic reset.
5. Multiple protections such as overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, leakage, and misoperation.
Notes:
1. During the experiment, unrelated personnel should not be allowed to approach, as this testing instrument can generate high voltage and untrained personnel are not allowed to use the equipment. During the experiment, there should be a supervisor and no one should use it alone. In case of any unexpected situation.
2. If the equipment is not used for a long time, before reusing it, first pressurize the instrument with no load, that is, remove the wiring of the high-voltage electrode from the equalizing ball. Check the computer test interface to see if the high voltage is normal.
3. In case of unexpected situations during the experiment, the power should be cut off in a timely manner, and the experiment can only continue after the problem is resolved.
4. The equipment should be placed steadily and the ground should be sturdy. It is best to use a cement floor to avoid resonance.
5. The casing of the device should be grounded to a protective ground wire during use, ensuring the safety of operators and equipment operation.
6. After using the equipment, turn off the power to all parts of the system and do not plug or unplug the power cord with electricity.
7. Connect the equipment according to the prescribed power supply voltage. Ensure that the circuit wiring is correct. Otherwise, it will damage the equipment.
8. The instrument needs to be placed indoors, and the laboratory should be clean, dry, and free of corrosive media. Non relevant personnel should not operate it casually.
9. Do not let the equipment cable touch the sharp edge to avoid scratching the cable insulation; Do not let the cable be pressed under heavy objects to avoid breaking the cable and causing a fire; Do not use cables to pull or bind objects, as this can cause the equipment to malfunction due to cable breakage.
10. Don't let the equipment get splashed with water, corrosive gases, flammable gases, and combustibles. If not avoided, fire may occur.
11. When moving equipment, cut off the power supply and pull the plug from the socket. Do not place the device upside down or tilt the device at an Angle greater than 45°when moving the device.
12. Do not unplug the power plug of the device while it is running.
