Rexroth HED8OH-2X/100 Efficient Hydraulic Pressure Switch For Overvoltage Category 3 Insulation Coordination
The hydro-electric pressure switch type HED 8 is a piston type pressure switch. It is composed of housing, installation kit with piston, compression spring, adjustment element and micro switch. When the pressure to be monitored is below the set pressure, the micro switch is operated. The pressure is applied to the piston by a nozzle, while being supported by a spring plate and compressed by an adjustable force of the compression spring. Then the spring plate will transmit the movement of the piston to the micro switch, activating it when the set pressure is achieved. This allows the electric circuit to be switched on or off as required. A mechanical positive stop of the spring plate is also present for protecting the micro switch from sudden pressure drop and excessive overpressure.
Notice: In order to maintain the service life, the pressure switch should be mounted on a secure surface with fewer vibrations and protected from potential hydraulic pressure surges.
Our subplates are designed for the flange connection according to ISO 16873 and as vertical stacking elements in connection with sandwich plates according ISO 4401. They come in 5 pressure ratings and 4 adjustment types: spindle with, or without, a protective cap; spindle with scale, with, or without, a protective cap; rotary knob with scale; and a lockable rotary knob with scale.
For electrical connection, there is the option of large cubic connectors and M12 x 1 connectors. Additionally, our subplates come with a micro switch with both NC/NO contact functions, allowing for potential-free switching of currents from 1 mA to 2 A. We also offer UL approval for pressure ranges up to 350 bar.

Petroleum and Chemical Production
Pressure relays play a very important role in petroleum and chemical production. They are used to monitor pressure changes in containers and pipelines, quickly trigger alarm devices or automatic control valves in case of emergency, and in this way, help to maintain the safety and stability of production process.
Pharmaceutical Field
In the pharmaceutical industry, pressure relays are used to monitor the pressure of pharmaceutical equipment in real time. When abnormal pressure fluctuations happen, the relays will immediately take corresponding measures, like closing valves or starting emergency pumps, to prevent damage and ensure product quality.
Food Processing and Packaging
Pressure relays are also applied in the field of food processing and packaging. Through them, pressure status of production equipment can be monitored, making sure that products are produced and packaged under the most suitable pressure conditions, thus increase production efficiency and product quality.
