Description

Product Description:

ASCO solenoid valves operate by controlling the on/off of the solenoid coil which in turn controls the valve opening and closing, therefore controlling the movement of mechanical devices. These valves have three different types of working principles: pilot operated, direct acting, and step-by-step direct acting.

When a pilot operated solenoid valve is powered on, the electromagnetic coil generates electromagnetic force which opens the pilot hole. This results in a decrease in pressure within the upper chamber, creating a pressure difference that pushes the closing member upwards and opens the valve. When the power is cut off, the electromagnetic force disappears and the pilot hole closes under the spring's action. Consequently, the closing member is pushed down, closing the valve.

When a direct acting solenoid valve is powered on, the electromagnetic coil generates a magnetic force that lifts the closing component and opens the valve. When the power is cut off, the magnetic force disappears, and the closing element is pressed against the valve seat by the spring, which closes the valve.

The step-by-step direct acting solenoid valve employs the working principles of both direct acting and pilot operated valves. It uses electromagnetic force to open the valve without pressure difference or with a small pressure difference. When there is a pressure difference, it uses pressure to push the valve. When there is a power outage, it will turn off.

ASCO solenoid valves are extensively used in industrial control systems to regulate the direction, flow rate, speed, and other parameters of the medium, guaranteeing control accuracy and flexibility.
