5052 aluminum alloy
(5052) Al-Mg belongs to the series of alloy, which is widely used, especially in the construction industry, which is the most promising alloy. Good corrosion resistance, good weldability, good cold workability and more moderate strength. The main alloy element is magnesium, with good forming and machining properties, corrosion ristance, weldability, medium strength.
Difference between 5052 and 1060
Hardness:
The tensile strength of 1060 aluminum plates is between 110 and 130, while the tensile strength of 5052 series is between 210 and 230, which means that the hardness of 5052 is 100% higher than that of 1060.
Chemical properties:
1060 is pure aluminum plate, 5052 is alloy aluminum plate, 5052 is better corrosion resistance under special environment.
More information:
* The non-heat treatable alloys of 1xxx, 3xxx, and 5xxxx are all strengthened by various degrees of cold working, as denoted by the "H" tempers.
* The heat treatable alloys of 2xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx are such that when subjected to thermal temperatures, they gain pronounced strengthening. tempers are indicated by "T". These alloys are also inventoried in clad form to increase corrosion resistance.
* All of the aluminum alloys are available in the annealed condition or commonly referred to as "O".
*Thicknesses from 0.12 through 6.0” are available for your immediate needs.
