ASTM B 209 Standard Al 99.6 / Al1060 / EN AW-1060 Aluminum Sheet For Kitchen Utensils Application
Product introduction of 1060 Aluminum Sheet:
1060 aluminum is a 1000-series aluminum alloy: it is considered commercially pure, and is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 1060 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-1060. A91060 is the UNS number. Additionally, the EN chemical designation is Al99.6.

Typical Appication of 1060 Aluminum Sheet: kitchen utensils
1060 aluminum sheet is noted for its excellent welding characteristics and formability by cold or hot working with commercial techniques. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment but only from cold working. Tempers H12, H14, H16 and H18 are determined by the amount of cold working imparted into the alloy. Moreover, 1060 aluminum sheet has good corrosion resistance as well as poor machine-ability, and its machine-ability can be improved in harder (cold working) tempers, such as H16 and H18. For its features above, 1060 aluminum sheet has a vast application, such as electric and chemical equipment, railroad tank cars, and kitchen ustensils etc.
