Vectra Mass Air Flow Meter Measuring principle
1) The principle of measuring flow based on rule of Coriolis Motion.
2) After transmitter connecting with sensor, time difference was measured by signal of velocity sensor, then calculate mass flow value by mass circulation calibration coefficient.
3) Transmitter is used to make stream tube resonant, measure mass and density parameters .etc according resonance frequency.

1.Q: Why choosing vectra mass air flow meter but not the other flow meters?
A: vectra mass air flow meter has huge difference with the volumetric flow meters.
All the other flow meters except the Coriolis mass flow meters could be called as volumetric flow meters, including, turbine flow meters, thermal mass flow meters, vortex flow meters, electromagnetic flow meters, etc.
For the vectra mass air flow meter:
The measurement of the vectra mass air flow meter will NOT be influenced by the factors of temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, etc. And the compensation calculation is NOT required.
The accuracy of the Coriolis Mass Flow Meters is ±0.1%, ±0.2% . The accuracy will NOT be influenced by the factors mentioned above.
Compared to this,
For the Volumetric Flow Meters:
The measurement of the volumetric flow meters WILL BE influenced by the factors of temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, etc. And the compensation calculation IS REQUIRED.
The accuracy of the volumetric flow meters is said to be reached by ±0.5%. While, the actual accuracy is hard to reach this level of ±1%. The accuracy will be influenced by factors as mentioned above.
