1.1 Application
This hand generator is an emergent DC power source for radio set and battery charging with 16.8V and 5V voltage. It can supply power continuously operate in floating charge the storage battery for military emergency.

2 Operation principles
This hand generator is operated by manpower. By means of gearing up, it produces the driving force to make the permanent magnet synchronous generator to generate power. The alternating voltage, after being rectified by silicon diode, filtered by condensers and then regulated by transistor series regulator, is converted to even DC output voltage. The output voltage for charging is unregulated.
2.1 Gear transmission
This hand generator's power is transmitted by three serial gears, the power from handles is transmitted to the rotor gear shaft of the generator and the makes the rotor rotate. The total transmission ratio I=Il xI2=7.46x6.71 =50 As the cranking speed is 11 Or/min, the rotor speed of the generator is about 3000r/min.
2.2 The generator
The structure of the generator is out-rotor type; the stator consists of 3-phase distributed and pitched windings in star connection. The windings are combined with stator core as entirety. The rotor is made of rare earth permanent magnet is star shape and eight-pole, air-erased magnet is used for stabilization. When the handles are cranked, there is relative motion of the magnetic field with respect to the stator, and 3-phase alternating voltage is induced in the stator winding with a frequency of approximately 200Hz.
2.3 Circuit part
The circuit is made of 3-phase bridge type rectifier and condenser filter. The power supplying output is stabilized to DC by series transistors. The digital display indicates the working state including voltage and current. Control the swing speed to keep the green indicator led on during swing the crank, the yellow led on, should speed up and the red led on to indicator speed down.
2.4 Protection method
This generator is provided with over-voltage protection circuit to limit regulator input voltage and charging output voltage at 29V±0.5V and to prevent the instrument supplied from being damaged by over-speed cranking and high voltage
