Description

1.Application Environment

KAN310 integrated on-line ammonia-nitrogen sensor is made of ammonium ion selective electrode based on PVC membrane, which is used to measure the content of ammonium ion in water with temperature compensation.

2.Feature

  • Signal Output: RS-485 bus, Modbus/RTU protocol,
  • Convenient to connect to PLC, DCS, Industrial Control Computer, General Controller, paperless recording instrument or touch screen and other third-party equipment.
  • The patented ammonium ion probe, with an internal reference fluid at a pressure of at least 100 kpa (1 bar), oozes extremely slowly from the microporous salt bridge. Such a reference system is very stable and the electrode life is longer than ordinary industrial electrode life.
  • Easy to install: submerged installation.
  • Ip68, containment level.

5.Installation and Electrical Connection

5.1 Installs

Note: The sensor can not be installed upside down or horizontally, at least tilt more than 15 degrees angle installation.

5.2 Electrical Connection

The cable is a 4-core twisted pair shielded wire defined in line sequence:

Red wire -- power cord (12V-24VDC)

Black line (GND)

Blue Line -- 485a

White line -- 485b

Before electrification, the wiring sequence should be carefully checked to avoid unnecessary losses caused by wiring errors.

Wiring instructions: Consider the cable long-term immersion in water (including seawater) or exposed to air, all wiring are required to do waterproof treatment, customer cable should have a certain anti-corrosion ability.

6.Maintenance

6.1 Use and Maintenance

Clean the electrode in distilled (or deionized) water and dry it, do not dry it. Place the electrodes on the electrode holder. Before use, the front end of the electrode is immersed in distilled (or deionized) water for 10 minutes, and then in a diluted solution of ammonium ions for 2 hours.

The electrode should be kept dry before use. The sensor of the electrode should be put into the protective bottle. Before testing, the electrode should be immersed in the activation solution for 24 hours. If stored overnight or longer, the electrode head should be cleaned with deionized water, dried, and then placed in the original packaging.

Check whether the terminal is dry, if there is any dirt, please wipe with absolute alcohol, blow dry after use. Long-term immersion in distilled water or protein solutions should be avoided and contact with silicone oils should be avoided. The longer the use of the electrode, its PVC membrane may become translucent or attached to sediment, at this time can be used distilled water (or deionized water) rinse. The electrode is used for a long time. If there is any measurement error, it must be corrected with the instrument.

When the electrode can not be calibrated and measured in the above way, please replace the electrode.

6.2 Calibration of Sensors

Note: The sensor has been calibrated before the factory, if not out of measurement error should not be arbitrary calibration.

Zero calibration

Place the sensor in a vial containing a standard solution of zero point and wait 5 minutes for the value to stabilize to see if it is within the range of error, or if it is not, zero calibration is required. Reference Appendix to calibration instruction.

Slope calibration

Place the sensor in a vial containing the slope standard solution and wait 5 minutes until the values are stable to see if they are within the error range. If not, slope calibration is required. Reference Appendix to calibration instruction.

7.Quality and Service

7.1 Quality Assurance

Quality inspection departments have standardized inspection procedures, with advanced and perfect testing equipment and means, and in strict accordance with the rules of inspection, 72-hour aging of products to do experiments, stability experiments, do not let a unqualified product factory.
