KFDO900 dissolved oxygen meter water quality stainless steel probe
Product Introduction
Fluorescence method oxygen dissolved meter is based on the quenching principle of specific substances to active fluorescence in physics. The figure as follow is the schematic diagram of the sensor's work. The fluorescent substance at the front of the sensor is a special platinum porphyrin composite with polyester foil allowing gas molecules to pass through, and the surface is coated with a layer of black light-proof material to avoid interference from sunlight and other fluorescent substances in the water.
The modulated blue light shines on the fluorescent material and causes it to excite and emit red light. Since oxygen molecules can carry away energy (quenching effect), the time and intensity of red light excitation are inversely proportional to the concentration of oxygen molecules. We used the red light source synchronized with blue light as the reference, measured the phase difference between the excited red light and the reference light, and compared it with the internal calibration value, so as to calculate the concentration of oxygen molecules, and output the final value through temperature compensation.

Surface water, industrial sewage and municipal sewage
Q&A
What are the factors that affect dissolved oxygen?
The content of dissolved oxygen in water is affected by two effects: one is the oxygen consumption effect that reduces DO, including the oxygen consumption of aerobic organic matter degradation and advanced metabolic oxygen consumption; The other is the reoxygenation effect that makes DO increase, mainly including the dissolution of oxygen in the air, aeration means, etc.The mutual ebb and flow of these two kinds of action makes the dissolved oxygen content in water change in time and space.
The environmental factors affecting the content of dissolved oxygen in water include water temperature, oxygen partial pressure, salinity and so on.
1. The water is warm
At a certain oxygen partial pressure and salt content, the saturated content of dissolved oxygen decreases with the increase of water temperature. The saturation content of dissolved oxygen at low temperature varies more significantly with temperature.
2. Salt
When the water temperature and oxygen partial pressure are constant, the higher the salt content of water, the lower the saturated content of dissolved oxygen in water. The salt content of sea water is much higher than that of fresh water, and under the same conditions the saturated content of dissolved oxygen is much lower in sea water than in fresh water. The variation range of salt content in natural fresh water is very small, so the salt content has little influence on the saturated content of dissolved oxygen, which can be approximately calculated by the saturated content in pure water.
3. Partial pressure of oxygen
When the water temperature has a certain salt content, the saturated salt content of dissolved oxygen in water increases with the increase of partial pressure of oxygen on the liquid surface.
