Dissolved organic compounds in water frequently absorb UV radiation. Measuring the absorption of 254 nm UV light by these substances provides an accurate method for determining the concentration of dissolved organic pollutants in the water. The KWS-150 online COD sensor incorporates two separate light sources: one for measuring the COD concentration via ultraviolet light and another for assessing water turbidity. Furthermore, an advanced algorithm compensates for any reduction in the light path and minimizes interference from suspended particles, resulting in more consistent and dependable measurement outcomes.
