An inertia ring, also known as a flywheel ring or a flywheel flange, is a component used in automotive and mechanical systems to reduce the effects of torsional vibrations. It is typically a heavy circular ring that is bolted to the crankshaft of an engine or a driveline system, and its mass helps to smooth out fluctuations in engine speed, reducing wear on engine components and improving driveability. The inertia ring also helps to reduce noise and vibration in the vehicle by absorbing and dampening torsional vibrations that would otherwise be transmitted through the drivetrain. In some high-performance appliions, the inertia ring may be designed to be removable or replaceable to allow for tuning or modifiion of the vehicle's drivetrain.
Advantages
1. Our company uses fully automated CNC machine tools, machining centers, quenching machines, and other equipment in the manufacturing process to ensure better machining accuracy and achieve the dimensional accuracy of original parts for automobiles, making products quieter and more stable during use.
2. Inspection is carried out using equipment such as coordinate measuring machines, metallurgical micro-testers, hardness testers, and tensile testing machines to ensure that products leave the factory without defects.
3. For exported products, we use high-strength five-layer A-grade cardboard boxes with rust-proof oil applied on the outside and sealed with rust-proof bags to ensure that the products do not corrode during transportation.
Principle
When starting a car, the gear on the starter motor meshes with the ring gear on the starter flywheel and drives the flywheel to rotate. Since the flywheel is installed on the engine shaft, it drives the engine to rotate and start the car.
