Brief introduction | The production of block ice is a batch operation and, once emptied, the cans are refilled with water and replaced in the brine tank for a further freezing period. Whatever the capacity of the ice-maker for block ice production, a continuous labour force is required to manage all operations, particularly ice harvesting and handling. All process could be completed within the container. |
