Acacia Gleditsia sinensis Lam, leguminous perennial herb, deciduous trees, thorns cylindrical, often branch. Pinnate mutual clustered, leaflets 6-16, ovate to long ovate, long 3 ~ 8cm, width 1 ~ 2 cm, apex acute, base cuneate, margin with fine teeth. Axillary racemes and top students, flowers polygamous; calyx 4-lobed; petals 4 pale yellow; stamens 6-8; ovary hairy along the suture. Pod prolate strips, length 12 ~ 35cm, width 2 ~ 4cm, purple-brown, sometimes white wax. Flowering in May, the fruit of October.
