Expanded Metal is a highly adaptable material. It is lighter per cubic metre and stronger per kilogram than the metal sheet from which it is made.
There is no interweaving, interslotting, brazing, or welding with expanded metal. In other words, even when cut into irregular shapes and left unframed, there is nothing to come loose or fray as a result of vibration or heavy impact.
Expanded metal has excellent corrosion resistance because it has no welds or interwoven strands.
The knuckles formed by the cutting and expanding process are stronger and more resistant to stress than joints or welds.
It allows air circulation without compromising strength or security when used as container sides or inserts.
