System Composition

It consists of fire extinguishing agent storage cylinder groups, pneumatic manual starting heads, selector valves, check valves, pneumatic check valves, manifold safety valves, low-pressure relief valves, pressure reducing devices, pressure relays, electromagnetic pilot valves, starting gas cylinder groups, nozzles, cylinder group racks, pipeline systems, and automatic fire alarm and extinguishing control systems.

Working Principle

It adopts a physical fire extinguishing method. When the IG541 gas is discharged into the fire area, it can reduce the oxygen concentration in the protected area within a short time. The normal oxygen content in the air, which is 21%, will be decreased to below 12.5% that can support combustion, thus creating a suffocating effect and quickly terminating the combustion. At the same time, the carbon dioxide content will increase to 2% - 5%, which stimulates the human respiratory center nerve, prompting the human body to breathe faster or take deep breaths, so as to increase the oxygen content in the blood and accelerate blood circulation, ensuring that the human body can still breathe normally in a low-oxygen environment.

Scope of Application

It can be used to extinguish Class A surface fires of combustible solids, such as surface fires of wood and fibrous materials; Class B liquid fires of combustible liquids, for example, fires caused by the combustion of heptane and gasoline; Class C gas fires where the gas source can be cut off before extinguishing; and Class E electrical equipment fires. It is suitable for fire protection of key parts such as computer rooms, libraries, archives, valuable goods warehouses, power stations, telecommunication centers, and clean workshops. However, it is not applicable to extinguish Class D fires of active metals, nor is it suitable for extinguishing fires of compounds containing oxides
