Gas engines form a major part of our in-house expertise at Stark. With 15 years of experience in design, operation and maintenance of biogas-fueled cogeneration plants, we know a thing or two about what makes an engine happy and what seems to always cost more money than hoped for.

Spark plug cost- One of the things that really has the potential to put a dent in your maintenance budget is spark plugs. A single spark plug from brands like Jenbacher or MWM will quickly set you back anywhere between $800 and $1200 (AUD). In perfect circumstances, these may last anywhere from 6,000 up to 10,000 runhours. So that puts us at a minimum cost of plugs of about $10,000 per year for a 12-cylinder engine.

When the fuel is biogas (sewage or land fill), the plugs however don't last anywhere near that long. It depends very much on the type of contaminants in the gas and the type of spark plugs, but it can be expected for untreated gas that the plug lifetime will drop to half or less, effectively doubling the cost.

Biogas cleaning- The engine vendor's out there will happily advise you to clean the gas to the point where all the nasties are taken out: moisture, hydrogen sulphide (H2S), siloxanes, particulates... they have a nice and tight technical specifiion for all of it. While there are many good arguments for gas conditioning, sometimes it feels a bit of a free pass for the engine vendors. Gas cleaning is not a particularly cheap exercise. And what to do when your capital project is done and dusted and all of a sudden your gas composition starts to change - not uncommon in a biological process... it's biological after all.

A: Generally, we pack our goods in neutral white boxes and brown cartons. If you have legally registered patent,
we can pack the goods in your branded boxes after getting your authorization letters.

Q2. What is your terms of payment?
A: T/T 30% as deposit, and 70% before delivery. We'll show you the photos of the products and packages
before you pay the balance.

Q3. What is your terms of delivery?
A: EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, DDU.

Q4. How about your delivery time?
A: Generally, it will take 30 to 60 days after receiving your advance payment. The specific delivery time depends
on the items and the quantity of your order.

Q5. Can you produce according to the samples?
A: Yes, we can produce by your samples or technical drawings. We can build the molds and fixtures.

Q6. What is your sample policy?
A: We can supply the sample if we have ready parts in stock, but the customers have to pay the sample cost and
the courier cost.

Q7. Do you test all your goods before delivery?
A: Yes, we have 100% test before delivery
