Takumi D8ETC Spark Plug, 12 x 3/4" Reach Threads, Conventional Tip, 11/16" Socket is a regular tip spark plug, suitable for VW engines. Regular tips are less expensive and give piston clearance that can be a problem with projected tips.

This plug is the correct heat range for HOT engines, since it's 2 steps colder than stock.

The D8ETC has 12mm threads, and is 3/4" reach (long). It fits modified VW heads that utilize the smaller plug to make room for huge valves. If your heads use a "Motorcycle Plug" these are an excellent choice.

Heat Range: Stock Heat Range is a "5". "6" is used in busses and Type 3s. "7"s are a really "Hot Street" plug, and "8"s and "9"s are almost exclusively Turbo Use.

Takumi Standard Spark Plug is manufactured to enhance the performance of the vehicle. It is constructed from durable material that is corrosion and abrasion resistant. The Spark plug insulators are made of 99 percent pure alumina silie, allowing for longer insulator noses for reduced fouling. This Spark plug features a triple gasket sealing process that eliminates fuel leakage. It also includes a solid copper core that provides superior heat dissipation and conductivity. This Spark plug has resistor that is produced with a glass and carbon mixture, which is fired to ensure superior performance and durability. It has corrugated ribs that prevent flash over and cold rolled threads to inhibit damage to the cylinder head.
