Power calibration:
diesel generator set is a combination of a diesel engine and a synchronous alternator. The maximum power allowed to use diesel engine is limited by the mechanical load and thermal load of parts, so the maximum power allowed to run continuously is called the calibrated power;
Diesel engine can not exceed the calibrated power use, otherwise it will shorten its service life, and may even cause accidents.
According to the national standard, the calibrated power on the diesel nameplate is divided into the following four CAT-parts-partsegories;
1) 15min power: that is, the maximum power allowed to run the diesel engine for 15min. Overload operation may be required in a short time and the calibrated power with acceleration performance is required, such as the calibrated power of diesel engines of automobiles and motorcycles.
2) 1h power: that is, the maximum effective power of the diesel engine allowed to run continuously for 1h. Such as wheeled tractor, locomotive, Marine diesel engine calibration power.
3) 12h power: that is, the maximum effective power of the diesel engine allowed to run continuously for 12h, that is, we often say the rated power. Such as power station unit, engineering machinery with diesel engine calibration power.
4) Continuous power: that is, the maximum power allowed by the diesel engine to run continuously for a long time.
