After the work stroke is finished, the piston moves from the bottom up, and the exhaust valve opens the exhaust to complete the exhaust stroke. Each stroke of the crankshaft rotates half a turn. After several working cycles, the diesel engine gradually accelerates to work under the inertia of the flywheel.
