Proton Magnetometer Magnetic Survey Instrument
Proton magnetometer is a portable, high precision and high sensitivity instrument for measuring the geomagnetic field. The magnetometer is made based on the precession of hydrogen nuclei (protons) in hydrocarbon-containing solutions such as kerosene, water and alcohol at a certain frequency in the geomagnetic field. It has a very wide range of applications, including geophysics, civil geological exploration, archaeological exploration and ore exploration. Due to its small size, high accuracy and simple operation, proton magnetometer is often used in geomagnetic observation stations, volcanoes and earthquakes for long time observation of geomagnetic field.
