When my daughter saw that I was making ice tea and pouring boiling water into a plastic container, she ordered this for me so I would not be exposed to cancer-causing heated plastic. I wasn't aware it was shipping from China before I purchased it and that took longer than I was wanting. Once it arrived I was happy to see it hadn't been damaged in transport and it looks and works as expected. For some reason it was difficult to find a pitcher that held this much.
