I let it cool a little before I add room temperature water and then it goes into the refrigerator. I’ve really needed one of these for a long time. I finally sprung for this one when I hosted Thanksgiving dinner. It’s such a pretty, simple thing but very well made. We use this every day for brewed iced tea. Just place the tea bags in the pitcher, add boiling water, then let it cool a bit before putting it in the fridge. I definitely wanted a glass pitcher because we often add lemon, or mint leaves. ----By Stiver
