99% High Carbon 0.03% Sulphur Artificial Graphite/GPC
1.What is graphite petroleum coke?
High purity graphitized petroleum coke is made from high quality peroleum coke under a temperature of 2,500-3,500C. As a high purity carbon material, it has characteristics of high fixed carbon content, low sulfur, low ash, low porosity etc. It can be used as carbon to produce high quality steel, cast iron and alloy.
2.What is petroleum coke used for?
Petroleum coke is a byproduct of petroleum refining, useful in the production of electrodes used as carbon anodes for the aluminum industry, graphite electrodes for steel making, as fuel in the firing of solid fuel boilers used to generate electricity, and as a fuel for cement kilns
3.What are the disadvantages of petroleum coke?
Petcoke is composed of 90% elemental carbon by weight which is converted to CO 2 during combustion. Use of petcoke also produces emissions of sulfur, and the potential for water pollution through nickel and vanadium runoff from refining and storage.
