AISI 420C stainless steel, C 0.43 – 0.50 Cr 12.50 – 14.50

High carbon martensitic stainless AISI 420C, ( AISI 420HC ), High-hardness martensitic grade.

Corrosion resistant in water and steam.

For e.g. professional kitchen knives, top-quality knives, surgical instruments, press plates, brake disks.

Stainless steel is one of the choice materials for runners for ice sports, as hardness, toughness

and aesthetics are essential.
Stainless steel skating blades are usually made of AISI 420C (EN 1.4034) grade.

Blades made of AISI 440C (EN 1.4125) grade, the hardest stainless steel is said to hold an edge

up to 4 times longer than C-steels.
