Glass fiber reinforced gypsum board (GFRG) is a composite material consisting of alpha gypsum cement and water, reinforced with glass fibers, ideal for an economical, lightweight and durable alternative to traditional gypsum.
Fiberglass reinforced gypsum board (GFRG) is a building board product made from calcined gypsum and gypsum. The sheet produced under strict control is 124mm thick, 12m long, 3m high and contains cavities. Depending on the structural requirements, reinforced concrete can be used for filling, partial filling, or full filling. Experiments and studies conducted in Australia, China and India have shown that fiberglass panels filled with ordinary reinforced concrete have considerable strength and can be used not only as load-bearing members but also as shear walls to resist lateral loads caused by earthquakes and wind. GFRG panels can also be used as filler (non-load-bearing) in conjunction with columns and beams in roller concrete frames (traditional frame structures for multi-story buildings). There is no limit to the number of layers, and miniature beams and roller concrete mortar (acting on T-beams) can be used as floor/roof panels.
Features of Glass Fiber Plasterboard
GFRG panel possesses high flexural strength, shearing strength, compressive strength, and flexibility. It has a very high level of resistance to fire, water, heat, corrosion, rot, and termites. Concrete filled with vertical reinforcement rods improves it’s vertical and lateral load capacities. GFRG made buildings are resistant to fire, earthquakes, and cyclones.
