Specimens are rubbed with dry, standard cotton cloth (Crocking cloth) and again, if applicable, with wet cloth. The staining of the crocking cloths is assessed with a Grey Scale

Test procedure
1. A coloured test specimen is clamped and is rubbed,under controlled conditions, against a white crocking cloth.
2. Colour transferred to the crocking cloth is assessed with a suitable Grey Scale.
