Hastelloy B-3/2.4600/N 10675 Bar/Rod/Wire/Forging/Plate/Strip Ideal For Various Demanding Industries
Hastelloy B-3 (UNS N10675 / W.Nr. 2.4600) is a nickel-molybdenum alloy engineered for excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid and other strongly reducing media. It offers improved thermal stability, fabrication, and weldability over its predecessor, Hastelloy B-2. The alloy resists pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and knife-line attack in welded conditions. Common forms include bar, rod, wire, forging, plate, and strip, widely used in the chemical processing industry for reactors, heat exchangers, and piping systems. Its performance remains strong in environments containing sulfuric, acetic, formic, and phosphoric acids, as well as non-oxidizing salts. Hastelloy B-3 is not recommended for use in oxidizing environments due to limited resistance in such conditions.
