Tempering Shaft Induction Hardening Machine For Surface or Through Hardening
Induction Hardening
Induction hardening is a form of heat treatment in which a metal part with sufficient carbon content is heated in the induction field and then rapidly cooled. This increases both the hardness and brittleness of the part. Induction heating allows you to have localized heating to a pre-determined temperature and enables you to precisely control the hardening process. Process repeatability is thus guaranteed. Usually, induction hardening is applied to metal parts which need to have great surface wear resistance, while at the same time retaining their mechanical properties. After the induction hardening process is achieved, the metal workpiece needs to be quenched in water, oil or air inorder to obtain specific properties of the surface layer.
Induction tempering process aims at optimizing the toughness and ductility of hardened workpieces.
The induction tempering is effective and precise. Induction tempering equipment could seamlessly connect with hardening machines that workpiece could be produced in one-stop for effective and precise treat. Comparing with tempering in furnace, the induction tempering could carefully control the temperature and delivers to workpiece uniformly. The heating process is quick and stable which safeguards the yield and quality.
Induction hardening and tempering treatment is a combination of which work piece heat by induction to hardening temperature for certain time and rapidly quenching, then heat again by induction for tempering.
Induction hardening and tempering production line is generally employed in the production of chain, threaded bar, pipe and other workpieces. We has developed matured heating solutions that integrates hardening and tempering process together to improve efficiency of manufacturing.
Induction Hardening Machine is used for surface hardening and through hardening, via static hardening or scan hardening according to different type of workpieces such as shafts, gear, coupling, brake discs, chains, rolls, pipes, slabs, rods etc, Induction heating allows heat to apply on particular area of the part, precise hardening in particular zone ensures good hardening quality.
GY Induction hardening System consists vertical, horizontal, turntable and customized induction hardening machines. These machines are available from small, manually loaded machines to large, automatic hardening plants with induction convertor power output 80kW-1000kW and wide range of frequency.

Advantages of induction hardening:
Precise control over temperature and hardening depth
Controlled and localized heating
Easily integrated into production lines
Fast and repeatable process
Each workpiece can be hardened by precise optimized parameters
Energy-efficient process
Induction hardening is the heating process that increases the hardness and tensile strength of ferrous materials while induction tempering is used to increase the toughness of iron-based alloys. Tempering is usually performed after hardening in order to reduce some of the excess hardness.
