Tecar Therapy

Tecar is an innovative manual therapy, supported by a unique technology that allows a treatment of the pathologies of locomotion from the inside of the tissue, acute and chronic illnesses, compared to other traditional therapies reducing very significantly the time of recovery. The Tecartherapy is a new form of therapy through the transfer of energy without the use of radiant energy from the outside, reactivating energy and promoting the natural physiological anti-inflammatory and regenerating processes. In the treatment the body is active, not passive.

A close electric circuit where the current is transmitted 100% from the skin inside the body creating a cascade of biological reactions.

This material enables the electrodes to have different properties: CAP electrode has a more superficial effect in the skin and fat layers and is mainly used to treat superficial conditions, whilst the RES electrode has a deeper action.

A normal therapy session combines both types of electrodes, the duration of use of the different types depends on the condition being treated.

To apply the electrodes a conductive cream is needed. The cream helps the current pass into the body and at the same times eases the electrode movement on the skin.

A monopolar capacitive resistive radiofrequency current must have an active electrode and a neutral electrode (return plate) to close the electric circuit.

There are two types of active electrodes: capacitive (CAP) and resistive (RES). Both electrodes are constructed in the same way, however, the CAP electrode is a RES electrode coated with an insulating material.


CET - CAPACITIVE ELECTRODES

The energy is concentrated on soft tissues - mainly the skin and muscles located near the electrode.3-5cm depth work on the skin.

RET -RESISTIVE ELECTRODES

The energy is concentrated deeper than in the case of the CET electrode. They concern more resistant tissues such as
joints,ligaments and tendons.
9-12cm depth work on the skin.
