Blood Glucose Monitoring System Of Cows

OVERVIEW

Blood glucose is an important indicator of negative enery balance (NEB) in cows. Many perinatal diseases can alter blood glucose levels and abnormal blood glucose causes fluctuations in some blood biochemical parameters in cows associated with increased incidence of ketone bodies, impaired liver and kidney function, and mobilisation of body proteins and body lipids, suggesting that monitoring blood glucose levels in cows can help to prevent NEB in cows with timely intervention.

The eBsensor dairy blood glucose tester is a portable, hand-held dairy blood glucose tester designed to measure blood glucose levels in cows and humans, using test strips for ease and convenience. There is no need to press a button during the test, the test strip is inserted into the instrument and the machine is switched on directly, a drop of blood is added to the test strip and the value is read.
