SCC Somatic Cells Counter
OVERVIEW
Somatic cell count (SCC) is a measure of the white blood cell count in milk. The number of somatic cells is one of the internationally recognized standards for milk quality control and a useful indicator for mastitis presence.
Somatic cell counter is a portable image cytometry instrument based on direct fluorescent, low magnification microscopic somatic cell counting for raw milk analysis.
The analysis algorithm of captured digital images determines the number of the fluorescent cells and their concentration.
The analysis usually takes a few seconds to 2 minutes, depending upon different analysis modes.
This instrument provides rapid, accurate and affordable somatic cell counts for cow, goat, sheep and or buffalo milk.
It covers a wide range of measurement from 10,000 to 10, 000, 000 cells/mL (maximum:, 20,000,000 SCC/mL). It's an excellent day-to-day herd management tool.
