Titanium Alloy Pipe Fittings
Titanium tees, titanium elbows, titanium reducers, titanium reducers, titanium alloy plug, titanium alloy cap etc.
Titanium pipes primarily transport corrosive and hazardous media. When media containing corrosive substances flow through titanium pipe fittings, the media is under some pressure, and different parts of the fittings bear different pressures. Let's analyze the three most commonly used types of fittings: titanium reducers, titanium elbows, and titanium tees.
Titanium Reducer
In the case of a titanium reducer, the medium often flows from the larger diameter to the smaller diameter. The gradual reduction in cross-sectional area causes a pressure increase in the conical part of the reducer. Thus, the inner surface of the cone bears high pressure and undergoes severe erosive corrosion.
Titanium Elbow
The titanium elbow is one of the important fittings in pipeline systems. Apart from changing the direction of the medium's flow, it also adds flexibility to the pipeline. When the medium passes through the elbow, the pressurized medium directly impacts the back of the elbow. The medium flows along the back to the outlet, demonstrating that the back of the elbow bears significant pressure and suffers from severe scouring corrosion, indicating that it carries more load than any other part.
Titanium Tee
The working conditions of the titanium tee are similar to those of the elbow. When the medium passes through the tee, it directly impacts the intersection of the branch and the straight path of the second passage. The load-bearing pressure and erosive corrosion at this point are greater than at other parts, with the branch acting as a pressure relief and distribution path for the main pipeline.
The analysis above shows that titanium fittings are quite important components in titanium piping systems, as they directly affect the lifespan of the titanium pipelines.
