Pressure Balanced Bellows Expansion Joints
1. Elbow Pressure Balanced Bellows Expansion Joint
The elbow pressure balanced bellows expansion joint consists of two parts:Front section(channel end)which contains two working bellows that can absorb lateral displacement generated from the curved pipe section;Rear section(balance end): There is one balance bellows.
This type of expansion joint is typically used in pumps, compressors, steam turbines, and other load-sensitive pipeline systems. It can absorb vibration, reduce noise, and protect equipment for stable operation. It is often installed at pipeline direction changes (such as L-shaped, Z-shaped pipelines) or in spatial pipelines connected to equipment to compensate for axial and lateral displacement without generating internal pressure thrust on the pipeline system. It is primarily used to absorb axial and lateral combined displacement and balance the pressure thrust of bellows, suitable for applications where significant thrust is not permitted.
2. In-line Pipe Pressure Balanced Expansion Joint
The in-line pressure balanced expansion joint consists of a working bellows or two working bellows,a balanced bellows, working tie rods and other structural components connected by a intermediate pipe. This type of expansion joint is mainly used to absorb axial and lateral combined displacement and balance the pressure thrust of bellows. It is generally used in high-pressure straight pipelines, where the pressure thrust is borne by the structural components of the bellows itself, and the fixed support of the pipeline considers only the elastic force of the bellows and the frictional resistance of the pipeline.
