A691Gr2-1/4CrCL22 is a type of CR-MO heat-resistant steel, with a basic composition of 2.25% CR and 1% MO, which is equivalent to SA-335P22.
Heat-resistant steels can be classified into three categories based on the mass fraction of alloying elements: low-alloy heat-resistant steel, medium-alloy heat-resistant steel, and high-alloy heat-resistant steel.
Alloy steels with a total mass fraction of alloying elements below 5% are generally referred to as low-alloy heat-resistant steels. The alloy series include Mo, Cr-Mo, Mo-V, Cr-Mo-V, Mn-Mo-V, Mn-Ni-Mo, and Cr-Mo-W-V-Ti-B, among others.
For low-alloy heat-resistant steels used in welded structures, the mass fraction of carbon is controlled below 0.02%. For some low-alloy heat-resistant steels with higher alloying element content, standards specify that the mass fraction of carbon should not exceed 0.15%.
