Reaming shells are designed to be placed behind the core bits to ensure the size of the hole to maintain and assist the core barrel stabilization. reaming shells are available for all types of core barrels, since the working parts of reaming shells, with a spiral and a parallel design, contains both mono-crystalline and polycrystalline diamonds.

The reaming shell is mainly used to connect core barrel assembly with diamond drill bit, and it is lined with natural or synthetic diamond. It can clean drill holes and keep these holes clean.

Reamer is set with natural or synthetic diamond,and it is used to couple the dril bit with the core barrel. Its main function is to ream the hole to the correct comstant specific diameter which ensures adequate clearance for the core barrel and sufficient clearance for the new bit which replaces an old one.It also acts as a stabilizer for drill bit.
