DESCRIPTION OF PLASTIC CUPS:

Plastic Keyhole Track

Plastic track to be attached to your jump standards and will accommodate Roma Competition Jump Cups.

Horse Jump Cups built of high-quality plastic and metal.

Breakaway jump cups feature a safety feature that releases the cup from the standard when hit.

All horse jump cups come in two mounting types: pinned jump cups or pinless jump cups.

Pinless jump cups require that your standards have a keyhole track installed.

The pinless jump cups have tabs that fit into the keyholes of the keyhole track.

The other type of cup is the traditional pinned cups that include a pin to hold the jump cup to the standard.

The only requirement for the pinned cups is that your standards have holes drilled into them (typical of all standards).

Metal jump cups come in three types: jump cups with pins, pinless jump cups, and safety/breakaway jump cups.

Both variations come as keyhole jump cups or the classic pinned type.

Metal jump cups tend to last longer over time but will need some maintenance over the years.

To preserve their structural integrity, be sure to sand them down and apply some no-rust paint to them every couple years – especially if you’re in a coastal or otherwise wet environment.

Having a barn to store your jumps and jump cups for the winter is ideal.
