Lightweight silica brick,also known as Silica insulating brick, is kind of lightweight refractory material which content more than 91% of SiO2, with bulk density ≤ 1.2g / cm3.
Lightweight silica brick’s refractoriness and load softening temperature are closed with ordinary silica brick with same composition. However, due to a lot of stomata, the pressure strength, slag resistance, corrosion resistance of lightweight silica brick are not well as ordinary silicon brick, but its thermal shock resistance are getting improved.

Thermal Insulation lightweight Refractory Silica Insulating Fire Brick
Lightweight silica brick is made by using crushed silica as a raw material, of which the critical particle size is usually not more than 1mm, and the content of less than 0.5mm particles are not less than 90%. It is fired through adding flammable substances to the ingredients or use gas generation method gas to form a porous structure. The brick can also be made into non-burning products. When Used at high temperatures, it can not contact with alkaline refractory. According to different materials, the maximum temperature can be 1200 ~ 1550 ℃.
Application of lightweight silicon brick:

2. Mainly used in various parts where required to insulation or reduce self weight without direct contact with the melt, not affected by aggressive gas and do not suffer from temperature change.
