Fused silica brick are also called Fused silica bricks or thermal shock-resistant silica bricks. Fused silica brick have good thermal shock stability, soft weight temperature, different physical and chemical indicators, and close to zero expansion rate. It is mainly used for maintenance of glass kiln and coke oven in hot state. It does not expand at high temperature and has good rapid cooling and rapid heating. The chemical properties of Fused silica brick are good and stable at high temperature; after repairing the glass melting furnace, there is no impurity pollution, no erosion and peeling phenomenon, and it is reliable for long-term use. 1. Fused silica brick have good thermal shock stability; after more than 30 cycles of water cooling at 1100°C, the product has no dimensional change, no cracking, no deformation, and can be directly repaired at high temperature without stopping the furnace.

2. The thermal expansion rate of Fused silica brick is close to zero.

3. The softening temperature under load of Fused silica brick is high, reaching 1680°C. The chemical properties are good and stable at high temperatures. After the glass kiln is repaired, there is no impurity pollution, no erosion and peeling, and it is reliable for long-term use.

Reasons for the low expansion rate of Fused silica brick

(1) The main mineral phase of Fused silica brick is amorphous silica, accounting for more than 90%. Fused silica brick are made of high-grade quartz ore, which are melted, cooled, crushed, screened, pickled and other processes The fused silica material is prepared, and its particles are mixed with a small amount of mineralizer and sintering agent to form a semi-dry mud material, which is made by pressing, drying and firing processes. The main mineral component is amorphous amorphous fused silica. The coefficient of thermal expansion of Fused silica brick based on amorphous fused silica is close to zero, so they are called Fused silica brick.

The same is silicon dioxide, but the structure of amorphous SiO2 is different from that of crystalline SiO2. Once the bond angle of crystalline SiO2 changes when it is heated, it will start isomorphic transformation at 180℃, accompanied by huge volume expansion, so its thermal stability is extremely poor. 1100 ℃ water cooling once will crack, amorphous SO2 has the characteristics of small thermal expansion coefficient, excellent thermal stability, high temperature viscosity, small thermal conductivity and other characteristics. However, amorphous SiO2 is an unstable state at high temperature, and there will be no volume change when heated within 1100℃. However, as the temperature rises, amorphous SiO2 begins to crystallize. Because the crystallization process is slow, it is still in the hot repair process. Can well meet the construction requirements. The expansion of Fused silica brick is almost zero, and the prices of the two types are different.
