The suspension (or emulsion) is fed into the bowl from a feed tube located in the center of the bowl. The installation of the disc in the bowl greatly increases the production capacity of the separator. The solids accumulated in the rotating bowl can be removed manually after the separator is shut down by disassembling the rotating bowl, or discharged from the rotating bowl through the slag discharge mechanism without stopping the machine. The disc separator can complete two operations: liquid-solid separation (ie the separation of the bottom concentration suspension), called clarification operation; liquid-liquid separation (or liquid-liquid-solid) separation (ie, emulsion separation), said separation operation.
