Functions of the EMUA

The EMUA supports input voltage detection. The alarm threshold for the input voltage can be configured on the BTS/NodeB and delivered to the EMUA.

The EMUA provides two power input ports, which are protected from inverse connections.

• The EMUA2416 and EMUA2432 support +24 V DC power input, and the voltage can range from +18 V DC to +36 V DC.
• The EMUA4832 supports -48 V DC power input, and the voltage can range from -36 V DC to -72 V DC.

• The EMUA provides an independent port for +12 V/+24 V DC current-type (4 mA - 20 mA) humidity/temperature sensors. The temperature monitoring range is -20^oC [-4^oF] to 80^oC [176^oF].
• The EMUA provides four ports for monitoring analog signals. Voltage-type (0 V - 5 V) sensors and current-type (4 mA - 20 mA) sensors can be used. The types of monitored analog signals can be configured through the DIP switch settings according to the BTS/NodeB configuration.

The EMUA provides ports for monitoring Boolean signals. Dry contact point signals and OC signals are supported.

• The EMUA2416 supports 16 ports for Boolean signal monitoring.
• The EMUA2432 or EMUA4832 supports 32 ports for Boolean signal monitoring.

The EMUA provides six output control ports for external Boolean signals of the relay node type.

The EMUA provides two RS-485 ports, which are used for the communication between the EMUA and the BTS/NodeB.
