3 DREP 6... The type 3-way pressure reducing valve is operated directly by a proportional solenoid valve. It is used to convert an electrical input signal into a proportional pressure output signal. The proportional solenoid valve is a controllable wet needle DC solenoid valve with center thread and removable coil. The solenoid valve can optionally be controlled via external control electronics (Model 3DREP) or integrated control electronics (Model 3DREPE).

The valve consists mainly of the following parts:Housing with connecting surface Control spool with pressure measuring spool Solenoid valve with center thread Optionally with integrated control electronics.

Function:

The pressure in A or B is set by a proportional solenoid valve. The amount of pressure depends on the current. When the solenoid valve is de-energized, the control spool is held in the center position by a compression spring. Ports A and B are connected to T so that the hydraulic fluid can flow unobstructed to the tank. By energizing the proportional solenoid valve, the pressure measuring spool and its control spool will move to the right. This opens up the connection from P to B and A to T by means of an orifice-type cross-section with progressive flow characteristics. Through the surface of the pressure measuring spool, the pressure generated in channel B acts on the control spool and resists the solenoid valve force. The pressure measuring spool is supported by solenoid valve "b".
