Liquid suction: As the gears rotate, liquid is sucked from the suction port of the pump into the space between the teeth of the gears. Liquid transfer: As the gears continue to rotate, the liquid between the teeth is carried to the outlet side of the pump. Pressure Generation: On the outlet side, due to the meshing of the gears, the liquid is squeezed and pressure is generated which is discharged from the pump. Sealing and compensation: There is a small gap between the gears in the pump and the pump body. In order to minimize internal leakage, pumps are usually equipped with axial and radial gap compensation devices. These devices automatically adjust the size of the gap according to the pump's operating pressure, keeping the pump running efficiently.
