The runner blades of the flow turbine are at a certain angle to the axis of the unit, generally at an angle of 15° to 60°. The blades rotate in conjunction with changes in the opening of the vanes, so they are more efficient over a wider operating range. Since the number of runner blades is between the axial flow turbine and the Francis turbine, the application head is also between the two units. It is widely used in power plants with large changes in water head and severe changes in flow rate. It is especially suitable as a reversible unit for pumped storage power stations.
In order to use water resources more effectively, the economics and reliability of power grid supply are improved. Pumped storage power stations have received extensive attention and are developing very rapidly. In recent years, China has also attached great importance to the construction of pumped storage power stations; especially with the construction of atomic power stations and large thermal power stations, pumped storage power stations are more important and indispensable. The diagonal flow pump-turbine has stable running performance and small starting torque; it can be started directly, and it is not necessary to inflate the water into the runner chamber; the reverse thrust is small, so that the phenomenon of lifting the machine during emergency shutdown is better than other units. The components of the crossflow turbine in the prefabricated parts, the water guiding mechanism, the water guiding bearing and the like are basically the same as the corresponding equipment of the Francis turbine. The main difference is in the structure of the runner.
The structure of the diagonal flow turbine runner is shown in Figure 23-1-43. Since the rotor blades are at an angle of 45 to 60 degrees from the axis of the unit, the mechanism for rotating the blades is more complicated than that of the axial-flow rotary turbine. The scraper relay structure is generally adopted in China.
The pressure oil drawn from the oil receiver enters one side of the scraper servo, so that the shaft of the servomotor rotates to drive the operation disc to rotate; the rotor rotates by the rotating arm. In order to adapt to the up and down movement of the oil receiving oil pipe, the rotation of the rotating shaft of the scraper relay drives the cam reversing mechanism to convert the rotation angle of the rotor blade into the vertical movement amount of the operating oil pipe and the oil receiving oil pipe, and the water guiding mechanism Association. Between the blade pivot and the wheel body, the "in" type rubber ring seal is used, and the effect is still good. A good "in" type seal with a life of up to 10 years.
