Butterfly valves are widely used in power stations with water heads below 200m. According to the valve spindle device, the butterfly valve is divided into vertical axis butterfly valve (valve axis for vertical arrangement) and horizontal axis butterfly valve (valve axis for horizontal arrangement). It has the characteristics of small size, simple structure, low cost, convenient operation, large water leakage and self-closing.

Butterfly valve is composed of valve body, valve, sealing device, bypass pipe, air valve, ingot lock device and so on. The cylindrical valve body is equipped with a pie valve that can rotate around the shaft. When the butterfly valve is fully closed, the valve and the valve body are connected to cut off the water flow. When the valve is fully open, the water is parallel to the water flow direction, and the water is bypassed from both sides of the valve. Whether the valve rotates or not depends on the operating mechanism connected with the valve shaft. The ingot locking device on the operating mechanism is put into the position of full opening and full closing respectively to prevent the valve from being mistakenly opened or closed by the impact of water flow. After the butterfly valve is fully closed, the outer edge of the valve may leak in contact with the valve body, so install a circular seal here. In order to meet the requirements that the butterfly valve can only be opened in standing water, the valve valve is installed on both sides of a connecting pipe, commonly known as a bypass pipe. A bypass valve is installed on the bypass pipe to control the on-off of water flow in the pipe. Before opening the valve, first level pressure, that is, water to the side of the unit, in order to remove the air in the pipe, install air valve on the body behind the butterfly valve. There are two travel switches on the valve shaft, respectively in the butterfly valve fully open and closed action, send the corresponding signal.
